Last night we had some friends over for New Year's Eve. The conversation got round to talking about similar gifts that our friends and we got from some mutual friends who had taken a trip to Africa. We each got a sheet - theirs is blue and ours is purple. I said that ours was in the giving-away box because the quality of it is not really good enough to stand up to being used as a sheet. And it runs color besides. (I've heard of some ways to get color not to run but have not had much luck with them). When he saw it again Leslie thought it should be a tablecloth. So today I cut the sides to make it fit and hemmed it. What a bold pattern! I looks good with white octagon shaped plates.
